India is the super hot contender to lift the trophy .It possesses great batting line up with great depth in their batting. A great mixture of experience and youth and a balanced bowling attach with experienced bowlers. A descent fielding side but the spark in batting is tremendous which promises to fire and perform in the subcontinental batting friendly condition which will support our spinners too so keep your finger's crossed because we are going to lift the trophy.

India will definitely qualify for the quarterfinals.Quarterfinals are the knockout stage where one bad day can lift you out of the competition but if we play well there is no one stopping us.But our bowling is something on which work is to be done but it is a big stage we have to win every match.

Cricket news - India v/s Netherland worldcup match

India defeated Netherlands at the Feroz Shah Kotla with more than 14 overs to spare. Another match winning performance by Yuvaraj Singh. He made 51 runs and got 2 wickets. He got his second successive man of the match and scored 3 half centuries in successive matches and looking solid. We hope he will continue his form throughout the tournament.

 Netherlands batting
On choosing to bat, Eric Szwarczynski, playing his first match of the tournament, combined well with Wesley Barresi to put on 56, equalling Netherlands' best opening partnership in World Cups. There were only six boundaries in the first two Powerplays but aside from a couple of half-chances, it was easy going for Netherlands.
Piyush Chawla, surprisingly retained after a horror match against Ireland, finally got the breakthrough in the 16th over, as he bowled Szwarczynski. The next dismissal came from Y Singh, whose wicket-to-wicket bowling got Barresi lbw. After that Netherlands couldn't put big score on board.

India's batting
Chasing 190, India raced out of the blocks with Sachin Tendulkar becoming the first man to reach 2000 World Cup runsSeelaar had Sehwag (39 of 26) slicing to point, and then dismissed both Tendulkar (27 of 22) and the promoted power-hitter Yusuf Pathan in the 10th over to rein in India.
G Gambhir and Y Singh added 40 runs before Gambhir was bowled round his legs. It was left to Yuvraj and MS Dhoni to finish the game.

Cricket news -India V/s Ireland Worldcup match

An Impressive All-round performance by Y Singh helped India to sensational victory. There was excitement right from the start as all eyes were on giant-killer Ireland. India had to huff and puff to pull off a win over a spirited Ireland.

Y Singh made record in Worldcup history
Y Singh got man of the match for his All-round performance. He took 5 wickets first time in his career and he made 50 as India chasing 208.This is the first time in Worldcup history that person has taken 5 wickets and made 50 runs in same match. He is the first left arm spinner to take 5 wickets in Worldcup.

Y Singh became a big hurdle for Ireland
Ireland suffered an early jolt when they lost Stirling and Joyce at the score of just 9 runs. But a brilliant batting display by their captain William Porterfield, who scored 75 runs off 104 balls helped Ireland put 207 runs on board .
But, Yuvraj Singh had other plans. First he dismissed Kevin O'Brien cheaply and then accounted for Porterfield's wicket to push the 'giant-killers' to the wall.

India's Batting was tested by spirited Ireland
India's strength is batting lineup.India have shown their batting ability in Warmup matches and also against England and Bangladesh. But batting against Ireland made India to think about batting. Sehwag and Gambhir got out very early in unexpected manner. Somehow Sachin and Virat seemed to build good partnership. But Sachin fell for  Dockrell and Kohli got out by run out,Which did put India in trouble again. Y Singh and Dhoni's partnership made useful 67 runs contribution. After that match belong's to Y Pathan as he made quick 30 including 3 massive sixes.

Cricket news - India V/s England Worldcup match

Wow, It was an amazing match.Stunning performance by both team.We shouldn't forget that we did set a target of 339 for England and we couldn't make it to win.It has left the team plenty to think.

 Explosive batting line up
All we know that India have strong batting line up in the world.Indian batmans have shown their ability in warm-up matches and also in league matches.India made 370 against Bangladesh and 338 against England. All top order batmans are in form.
Y Singh got some confidence as he played well against England. He scored 58 of  50 balls including 9 boundaries this is what India needed before start of the worldcup quarterfinals.

Bowling concern
Indian team bowlers need to work hard.Z Khan,H Singh and Munaf Patel bowling well. But we can't expect too much from these bowlers. There is lot of worry for Indian team as if 3 fast bowlers required. As already A Nehra got injured and Sreesanth has been expensive against Bangladesh.
India really need to do well in powerplays and death overs.Z Khan is the best bowler in powerplays and in death overs. But others need to do well.

DEFENSIVE CAPTAIN
Both Bangladesh and England thrashed India's bowlers. Somewhere, they also exposed captain Dhoni's lack of planning when it comes to making the best of depleted resources. There seems to be no boldness or innovativeness in his captaincy either, qualities that yielded him success in the first place. Even while defending scores in excess of 300, Dhoni has been overtly defensive. No attacking fields in sight, which means too many singles have been conceded which reduced the pressure on the opposition.

India need to tackle Powerplays
Like most teams, India haven't cracked the Powerplay code yet. On Sunday, they made just 32 off the five overs, between 36 to 41.Should all out attack be employed in the Powerplay, or should the batsmen be more careful? The debate is on.
